(^-^)/ Saying hi!
Hi guys~ (^-^)/ ハーロー!
Yume here! I'm your new member who will be helping out with Japanese and Chinese translations
Time to introduce myself!
I seldom write a lot, but I'm going to write a little more this time
Sorry if you find this boring
Well I'm older than most of you (seems like it), currently pursuing a degree in Marketing.
I was taking Japanese lessons at a language school for more than a year before I started self-learning and focusing on JLPT.
In my leisure time, I like to shop, play billiards, listen to Jrock&Jpop songs, go for karaoke/concerts, read novels and play L4D (with my three other friends)
While I'm not a hardcore fan, some of the 'fandom' things I did, or tried to do, in the past are: creating a fanclub at Crunchyroll, doing a cover of an anime song (which I did not publish ), making lyrics videos for anime songs, writing a fanfiction and making member cards for fanclubs at MyAnimeList. I recently made a banner for a Jrock band too
I don't enjoy gore, but my favourite anime is Higurashi. I really loved season 2.
My favourite manga is Dengeki Daisy. I like Motomi Kyousuke's mangas. Yes, most of them are shoujo.
To be honest, I've been rather out of touch with anime and manga since junior college days, so yeah... I'm sure some things have changed~
If I vaguely remember, the very first time I did something similar to translating manga was at Crunchyroll years ago when I helped to translate a page of Bleach manga from Chinese, which was 'leaked out' and posted in the forums.
Though it was merely a few sentences, it somehow felt great helping them
So I started off my 'translator journey' as I translate sentences in games for my friends and my favourite song lyrics
Finally, here I am in Ciel Scans, translating manga~ イエイ!
This will be different and probably more difficult than translating other things, due to the prevalence of 若者言葉 - basically the collquial language youths use
But I'm taking up this challenge to improve my skills
I will do my best!
頑張ります!ファイトー
Looking forward to working with everyone at Ciel Scans!
よろしくお願いしまーす!
